Treasurer's House and Bettys

I went to treasure's house and bettys.

First, we went to treasure's house.
This house has 2000 years from Roman age to now of history.
It has 13 beautiful old rooms, and well kept greens.
The last owner of it was Frank Green.
Thanks to him, rooms have many beautiful antiques, furniture and glasses.

Next, we went to Bettys and ate Cream tea.

This menu is scones, clotted cream and jam served with a pot of tea.

It was very delicious! Clotted cream fits scones very much.

I want to eat again it before we go back Japan!

We went to Flamingo Park! It is asocial program, so we went with social organizer and other school students.

I met them in front of them in front of the York station, but two of my friends did not come that time!  We called them their cell phone, but they did not answer.

After turned out, they were overslept!!  Now I see why they did not answer.

When we were riding a bus, we felt little anxious, because there are very country!

Flamingo Park is very big amusement park and zoo. We did not have enough time, so we enjoy only the amusement park.

We rode 4 types of roller coasters.

First, we ride Verocity.

It is look like bike. I recommend it! It is very exciting!

And we can buy the picture, it is very amusing!!

Second, we rode Mumbo Jumbo. It has the Guinness, because it's maximum vertical angle is 112 degrees!!

When we stranded in line waiting to ride it, we met friends who were overslept.

We are very lucky!

Third, we rode Kumari. It is very scared...

It is like a lift, so we cannot be traced!

Finally, we enjoy the game.

We tried it.

You won't believe this, but I won it!

Then I got a big doll.

I worried it, because it is very difficult to bring back to Japan... 

Duruhum

We went to Durhum city.
It is smaller than York city, but it is old and very beautiful city.
First, we went to market place. There are many small stall.
We saw a lot of kind of fruit (I had never seen them!)

Next, we went to Durham Cathedral.
It is very famous in Durhum, because it is a world heritage site.
It is very big and old church.
When we went to there, they hold a mass, so we cannot enter the inner part.
But the miss was hold solemn and very quiet, and their hymns were very wonderful.

National Railway Museum

I went to the national railway museum with my friends.

Because when I talked that my brother like the train with　host family, the recommended it.
We could see loyal family's train.

It is very luxurious and beautiful train.
I want to ride it!

Then we saw a lot of old train.
Their design is more colorful than Japanese old train.
In Japan, almost all old trains were black, but the train I saw is very quiet colors.
I think their design is very beautiful and match nature of UK.

And we found the Japanese blue train, called "Shinkansen".
I felt little homesick for Japan.

Finally, I bought a gift for my brother!

Jazz pub and dominoes

I went to the jazz pub with my host family.

This is very closely from my host family’s  house.

We could not sit near players, but we can enjoy their music.

Unfortunately, in Japan, it is difficult to listen a live performance, because the place where we can listen is a little and it is too expensive. 

We enjoy to play domino game (five up).

In Japan, Domino is ordinary square, no design and mark, so it is used only domino topple.

Then it is the first time to play dominoes.

It is very easy to play, but  it is difficult to win this game.

My host mother is very strong, so I could not win.

I want to go to this pub and play dominoes again!

Oatmeal

Since we start to homestay, we ate a lot of kind of British food.

 I want to compared Japanese foods and British foods.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is one of the famous breakfast menus in UK.

It looks like “Okayu” in Japan.

Okayu

But they are really different.

In UK, people add some sweets. For example, blueberry, raspberry or honey.

But in Japan we add solty taste something!

So, when I first ate it, I was surprise and felt very strange.

But now I can eat it.

Afternoon Tea

I went to tea shop with my friends.
We enjoyed afternoon tea.

In this shop, ground floor is tedy beer shop and first floor is tea shop.
This store is very cute!

I ordered a pot of tea and a scone.
The scone is served with some butter, jam and sour cream.
Thee jam is black currant.
I didn't know that, so I asked a shop assistant.
She said it's taste is like blueberry, so I tried it.

They are very delicious! We had a great time, and relaxed.

Haworth

We went to Haworth. This city is known for Bronte family.
So we went to the Bronte Parsonage Museum.
In there, we can learn about how to live and how to be writed stories by Bronte.

We saw Branwell's famous portrait of the three sisters.
As I know, the portrait was disappeared one person.


There is small country, but very butiful place.

Jorvik

I went to Jorvik viking center with my friends.
There is an atraction about Yorvik lifestyle and display of excavation.

First we saw the scene of excavating.
 I thinked excavating is very difficalt and delicate.

Next we rode the atraction.
But it has truble so it is stopped!
So we ride it twice.
First we listerned Japanese guide, then we listend English guide.
We could see the life style of Viking age closely and reality.

Last we saw display of excavation.
When we asked the assisment, she teached us how to use these excavation.
 As things turned out, she is on the guide booklet.

She explained  for us!

The Yorvik lifestyle is more creative than I think.
There are many virious ideas to make somthing.

Jorvik viking center is very easy to understand their lifestyle.
We enjoy learning them!

British food

I studied about British food, so I try to eat them.

I want to introduce them!

1. Cottage Pie -minced beefs and vegetables topped with mashed potato

I think it's taste similar to Nikujaga in Japan.

It is Japanese desired taste.



It's is very hot! Be careful not to burn your tongue!



 2. Steak pie

If you want to eat hartily, you should eat Steak pie.

It is a filling dish made by a lot of beef!

Beefs are so tender, so it is convenient to eat and very delicious.

3.Chicken Tikka Masala

It is like Thai curry.

But it is not too hot, so it is very easy to eat.

If you are tired of eating British foods, you should try it.

British Foods are very delicious and filling!!
I want to try all British foods, but I worry about my weight... : (

Football Match!

I went to watch the football Match.
It is a game between Leeds and Hull. I cheered for Leeds.
It is first time to see the football match.
I was very surprised, because there are many people.
Supporter has a passion for their team, so they cheered together in loud voices.
In Japan, many women support a team, but in this match the number of women supporter is very limited.
I saw many policemen, too.

Fortunately, Leeds won the game 4-1.  But loss is own goal.

He kicked into the goal!!

The game is very aggressive and existing. I cannot take my eyes off!
I want to watch the football game again!
